rose garden
Today we went to a rose garden "David Austin Roses." It is a popular rose garden with nursery where we can buy all kinds of rose trees, bushes and climbers. The garden is gorgeous, the design of landscape is a bit too formal, I thought... We saw more buds than flowers unfortunately.
Maybe two weeks from now, the garden will be splendid with colours and scents.

yes, this garden is fabulous! Even though it was not best time when I went there, it was lovely.
I am going to visit there again in late June when roses are in full bloom!!
そうですよね。roseと言えば "David Austin Roses" ですよね。・・・随分前から知っているような口ぶりですが、２ヶ月ほど前に知ったばかりでした(^^)
ガーデニングにまったく興味のなかった妻が突然、バラに取り憑かれて、それ以来、我が家には宅配で何度もバラの苗が届いています。"David Austin" は一つもありませんが。
園芸ショップに出かけてみると、ポットに"David Austin"のエンブレムが付いていると高いんですよね〜（笑）

あら、日本でもそんなにメジャーなんですね。知らなかったわ。
私自身良く知らないのですが（笑）、David Austinのは品種改良の仕方が特別みたいで、それもお値段アップの一因なのですね。。。もちろん、日本ではブランド効果も大きいと思いますが。
それにしても、そんな有名なバラ園が近くにあるのって嬉しいです。
