long time no see...

yeah.... How long have I been absent from this blog1?

My husband pointed that I have not updated this site for a long long long time.

ummm.

I have been writing a book about Geometry activities from Waldorf school lessons.
Lots of crafty activities and Geometric drawings you can actually do with your children.
I hope that parents and their children would enjoy these activities together.

The book is almost done.

Exciting!

blue solar water

I don't know if you have ever heard of the "blue solar water."
If you don't know and want to know about it, please search it on the web. You will find loads of web pages about "blue solar water" and "ho'oponopono."

This week I bought two bottles of mineral water "TY NANT."

The bottle is beautiful dark blue glass and the shape is simple and beautiful.
The water is collected in Wales.

I searched same item in Japan, and I learned that the same products are sold in Japan as well. Of course the price is surprisingly high. I also learned that TY NANT is sold in the supermarket "JUSCO" in Japan.

Anyway, I bought two bottles at the local supermarket, and made the special "blue solar water."

The method is quite simple and sounds nothing special.

Just fill some tap water in the blue bottle, then put a non-metal lid on.
Leave the bottle under sunshine for 15 min to 1 hour. (it is ok when it's cloudy or rainy.)

Drink the water 2 litres a day.
The water can be used for cooking, cleaning, watering plants, skin care....etc.

The water left in the sun tasted surprisingly mild.
The tap water in this region is hard though the "blue solar water" was soft and mild.
Actually it tasted like mineral water.

After one day trial, I realized that my skin got more moisture than before.
My muscles are softer although my muscles are usually as tough as rocks.

The rice cooked in the blue solar water tasted better.
Of course it is no wonder it tasted better, since the water itself tasted much better.

The difference of my skin and muscle might have been caused by drinking a lot of water... not because of the specific water called "blue solar water", because drinking a lot of water is good for your health.

But there is one mysterious phenomenon I experienced.

That was... the water always made me sleepy instantly.
I felt the water is actually working on where something's wrong... such as my back or shoulders.

So..... obviously it is not just tap water any more.

It has gotten some vibration energy from the sun and gained the power from the blue colour.
I don't know HOW that works scientifically. But I am feeling it works through my physical experiment.

My husband doesn't believe the power of the water, but now he likes drinking the water.
The water is tasty. Your sense of taste can prove it.

It is simple, isn't it?

blooming!

England is a country of roses... Although the climate in England is not really suitable for growing roses, people love the flower and make so much effort to have the gorgeous success on their rose bushes. The fact that there are so many beautiful rose gardens in this country shows the British people's love for roses.

The rose in my little garden bloomed today.
As the bud grow bigger, it spread the strong scent.
Today the rose flower opened like this. See the photo below.

Isn't it gorgeous???

pop-up card

After I made the card I showed you on the previous post, I had another piece of yellow paper left over to make one more card.

So I decided to make one more.
Here it is.

This is the main building of the school we belong to.

I just made it quickly without measuring nor looking at the building photo. So the design of the building is not exactly same. But you see the feature appeared on the card, if you know the real building.

I love this kind of paper crafts.
This is called the "Origamic Architechture" that a Japanese Architect Masashiro Chatani invented. He created the cards of all kinds of famous buildings and world heritages all over the world. You can find his books that contain a loads of patterns for Origamic Architecture for you to make the architecture cards on your own. His books are often bilingual, English and Japanese. I think you would love to see his books!

Anyway, I stole his idea of making a card of existing building and made a familiar building that stands in front of my house as a symbol of our school.

When I make this again, I will make the card that is more closely designed to original building...

birthday card

This morning my husband informed me our friend's birthday.

She is an old lady who has been contributed her love and efforts to the school for more than half a century. I think everybody in this community loves her. Of course we are not the exception.

She turned to 91 today.
She still comes to the school every Tuesday to see how we are doing.
Her love for the school and her positivity always amaze me.

I quickly made a birthday card for her to celebrate her birthday!!

The photo is not very clear, but I hope you can recognize a bird with a flower on the photo.
I cut out a plain yellow paper and glued it on a white paper to make a pop-up card.
You see my friend's name cut out on top of the card.

Do you like it??

hair pack

I had my hair packed last night.

Since I moved out of japan, the dry weather in California and England dried my skin and hair out... Especially here in England, the hard water affects the hair so bad, and my hair became harder and it doesn't shine as much as before.

Recently I learned an interesting method of hair pack using mayonnaise.

Yes, the mayonnaise from the fridge.

It is surprising, but considering the ingredients of mayonnaise, it is no wonder the mayonnaise works well for hair.

The vinegar adjusts the pH balance of the hair.
The oil smoothes the hair.
And the protein from the egg adds nutrition to the hair.

If we think it scientifically, we can understand that the mayonnaise pack would be ideal for dry hair.

So I did it.

The method is easy;
1. apply a lot of mayonnaise all over the dry hair.
2. Cover the hair with a cling film.
3. Leave it for 10 to 20 min.
4. Rinse it with luke warm water, and then shampoo the hair as usual. Use regular conditioner afterwards.

The result was impressive.
The hair regained its shine that it had ten years ago.
It got smoother and softer.

Believe me.
Don't be so skeptical.
It is an excellent + natural pack.
I truly recommend this method if you have dry hair.

By the way, i used home made mayonnaise.
Because home made mayo doesn't smell much, and it doesn't contain salt and pepper.
Making mayo is not difficult.
Mix 100ml of olive oil, one egg, and 2 T spoons of vinegar with a blender.
That's all.

Try!!
